The Real Colorado Beer Project is an attempt to support the real local Colorado economy as well as help the consumer recognize which tap handles, canned or bottled ales and lagers will provide the dew of real Colorado, and to what degree. There are five levels of Real Colorado Beer:  Wild Platinum, Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. In order to obtain this certification, any brewery must provide a list of the ingredients that will go into their beer. Also included with the list must be receipts or invoices from the vendors the brewery purchased the ingredients from, including appropriate yeast strain information. Breweries or distilleries located in Colorado will not need to provide proof of 100% Colorado water.

Please check which level of certification you are seeking:

Wild Platinum Certification:        100% Colorado Water – 100% Wild Indigenous Colorado Yeast – 100% Colorado Malt and/or adjuncts in the total grist – 100% Colorado Hops in the total hop bill.

Platinum Certification:                    100% Colorado Water – 100% Colorado Yeast – 100% Colorado Malt and/or adjuncts in the total grist – 100% Colorado Hops in the total hop bill.
